About the Program

On 29th June 2020, Google UK announced a partnership with non-profit organisation Digital Boost (subsidiary charity of Founders4Schools), to offer 10,000 hours of free mentoring over the course of 12 months to help UK small businesses and charities in the wake of Covid-19.

The pandemic has catapulted businesses, charities and employees into uncertainty and left feeling vulnerable. They needed new digital ways of working and ways of connecting with people to stay afloat.

From building a website, to launching digital advertising, to scaling up delivery for e-commerce, many could do with a hand from experts who’ve done this all before.

Digital Boost was born out of a duty to help charities and businesses gain the essential skills they need. It is an online tech platform, where expert volunteers can offer their time and skills in order to be matched, and provide 1-to-1 mentoring calls with UK small businesses and charities.

How You Can Get Involved

If you are a charity or SMB:

You can receive free, tailored 1-to-1 mentoring from Google and other organisations via Digital Boost. UK-based small businesses and charities can pick subject areas where they need support; from how to build a marketing strategy, to product management and design and choose from a range of digital expert volunteers offering their time one-to-one.

Calls take place online and mentees can select their availability to meet with a mentor.
